Federico Chiesa has arrived at the J Medical to undergo medical examinations after a Pedro Obiang tackle last night with the Sassuolo midfielder who has apologised on social media.

Chiesa was practically in tears after a very late Obiang tackle in the first half of Juventus-Sassuolo on Sunday. VAR showed Obiang caught him studs-up on the ankle and was shown a straight red card.

The former West Ham midfielder has apologised on social media.

“First of all I would like to apologize because I made a mistake in the game that cost my team. I never wanted to leave the team down to 10 men and I also send my wishes to Federico Chiesa,” he wrote on Twitter.

Chiesa has just arrived at the J Medical to assess his physical conditions.

Weston McKennie and Paulo Dybala also sustained injuries against the Neroverdi and had had medical assessments before the former Fiorentina star.
