Nutella have embraced the meme used by Milan fans after Gonzalo Higuain’s transfer to Chelsea, mocking him in their latest advert.

It went viral when Higuain was pictured with his Rossoneri teammates on the way to a match, but was trying to hide the presence in his hand of a box of Nutella B-ready biscuits.

It was spotted anyway and when he made the move to Chelsea a few days later, there were numerous Photoshop battles to get the popular Italian snack involved.

Nutella seemed more than happy with the free publicity and have released their own version, although it does not mention Higuain directly.

The ad shows a discarded and opened Nutella B-ready wrapper on the touchline of a football pitch.

“When you ought to discard your opponents, but then Nutella B-ready distracts you…” read the tweet.

The ad itself again played on the word ‘scartare’ – which means both to shrug off an opponent and to unwrap something.

“…scartare? You’re doing it right.”
