Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares will be in Rome tomorrow for a Lazio medical, but the exact cost of the transfer varies depending on sources.

All agree that the clubs shook hands and the player agreed personal terms too today, so his flight is booked and he will undergo tests in Rome on Saturday.

However, this is where the details begin to vary significantly from report to report.

Sky Sport Italia maintain it is a transfer at a cost of €5m plus a percentage of his future sell-on fee.

Sportitalia chief Alfredo Pedullà has it as a loan with obligation to buy for a total €7m plus cut of the future fee.

Meanwhile, specialist Fabrizio Romano cites the figures as a loan with mandatory purchase clause at €9m and again a cut of the next sale.

Nuno Tavares on track for Lazio

Whatever the details, the 24-year-old will be in the Eternal City tomorrow for his medical and to sign the five-year contract.

He just returned to Arsenal after loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Olympique Marseille.

The Gunners had bought Nuno Tavares from Benfica for €8m in the summer of 2021.
