When Pioli replaced Marco Giampaolo after seven rounds, he signed a deal until June 2021 but reports regarding big changes at Milanello have sparked rumours also about the future of the head coach.

Red Bull director Ralph Rangnick has been linked with a sporting manager position, including the coaching responsibility, but Tuttosport claims that the players are opposing the suggested change in the dugout.

The newspaper writes that players like Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer and Ante Rebic have revelled under the former Fiorentina coach and claims they will support the statistics that speaks in the 54-year-old’s favour.

Pioli has won 9 of his first 22 games in charge at San Siro, picking up 27 points in his first 19 League games and the Diavolo are currently seventh in Serie A, three points behind Napoli at sixth.
