The former Sampdoria boss is being lined-up as the Rosanero’s eighth Coach of the season, as Beppe Iachini has resigned after a row with the President, Maurizio Zamparini.
According to Sky, representatives of the Sicilian side will meet with Novellino in Friuli today, and he’s in pole position ahead of Eugenio Corini and Franco Colomba.

“I’d like to Coach Palermo,” Novellino admitted on Radio 24.
“I went for a run this morning and felt like my name being called. I’ve had phonecalls. We hope, let’s see, wait a few hours.”
