Orel Mangala has reportedly agreed to join Napoli, who are now working on finding a deal with Nottingham Forest.

The Partenopei have been incredibly active in this month’s transfer window in response to their disastrous first-half of the season. Winger Cyril Ngonge, full back Pasquale Mazzocchi and forward Hamed Junior Traore have all signed for the club over the last few weeks.

Napoli have been working for Mangala over the last few days and recently overtook rivals Juventus in the race for the Belgian midfielder’s signature, believing the Belgian would be the perfect addition for Walter Mazzarri’s squad.

As reported by Il Mattino via TMW, Mangala has now given his green light to join Napoli in the coming days, allowing the Scudetto holders to focus on talks with Nottingham Forest.

The deal will likely be a six-month loan with a conditional obligation to buy clause worth around €25m. The midfielder would then sign a four-year deal after his move is made permanent in the summer.

Nottingham Forest, who are in a delicate financial position, are also asking for a €5m loan fee and negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.
