Nottingham Forest continue to push to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz and according to reports from Italy, Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of the Premier League club, is now negotiating directly with Bianconeri general manager Damien Comolli.
According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, via TuttoJuve, Forest and Juventus are very close to agreeing on a deal involving the former Aston Villa midfielder, with these direct communications between the most influential figures at the two clubs potentially key in unlocking the transfer.

Despite solid pre-season, Douglas Luiz edges closer to Juventus exit
Earlier today, we covered reports from TuttoSport that claimed the move is no longer in doubt and Douglas Luiz will be a new Nottingham Forest player.
Forest’s latest offer for Luiz is at around €30 million, just below the Bianconeri’s demands for the player.

Meanwhile, Juventus have reportedly lined up Brighton midfielder Matt O’Riley as a potential replacement if the Brazilian completes his move to the Premier League.
