Milan have some bad news from the transfer market, as with only 152 minutes of football played, Nottingham Forest are likely to send Divock Origi back.

The Belgium international has been a complete flop since joining the Rossoneri as a free agent from Liverpool in the summer of 2022.

In 36 competitive appearances for the club, the striker contributed only two goals and one assist.

He was sent to Nottingham Forest on loan with an option to buy for €5m.

However, it does not look as if Milan are getting that money, because Origi has managed only 152 minutes of football this season spread out over eight substitute appearances in the Premier League.

This means it is extremely unlikely that Nottingham Forest will activate their option to buy, so will send Origi and his large salary back to San Siro at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old is under contract with Milan until June 2026, earning €4m per season net (€5.2m gross).
