Nottingham Forest have reportedly reopened talks with Milan to explore a deal for redundant midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The 27-year-old French midfielder returned to the Rossoneri last summer from Chelsea on a two-year loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached. Things didn’t go to plan for Bakayoko, who hardly featured under Stefano Pioli last campaign, and now the club are looking to re-home him, uninterested in spending another year together.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Nottingham Forest have reemerged to discuss a deal with both Milan and Bakayoko’s entourage. The player would be open to the move and is keen to leave the Rossoneri after a difficult year.

The newly promoted Premier League side have spent over £100m this summer improving their squad and they don’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Their most recent acquisition was midfielder Remo Freuler from Atalanta and they’re also linked with a move for his former teammate Ruslan Malinovskyi as well.
