Nottingham Forest are the latest club to target Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic, after Lazio, Napoli, Fiorentina and of course Inter, because Bologna are trying to sign Remo Freuler.

The Serbia international had already passed his medical with Inter and was all ready to sign when his father and entourage suddenly changed the personal terms, demanding more money in commissions and for his salary.

This infuriated the Nerazzurri, who slammed the door shut and abandoned the entire deal.

Samardzic returned to Udinese and is back in training, coming off the bench in last week’s 3-0 Serie A defeat to Juventus, but is still open to offers.

Lazio, Napoli and Fiorentina have all been linked, but now Tuttomercatoweb claim that Premier League side Nottingham Forest are ready to make a bid worth €12m.

Nottingham Forest would use Samardzic as the replacement for Freuler, who is in talks with Bologna.

It would not be enough, as Udinese want at least €15m to consider his sale.

The 21-year-old is in no particular rush to leave Udine, as he is under contract until June 2026.

Last season he scored five goals and provided four assists in 37 Serie A appearances.
