The agent of Empoli midfielder Mirko Valdifiori says his client’s future will be known by Friday, but is ‘not optimistic’ for a Napoli move.
The Italian international has been linked with a move to the Partenopei, to reunite with Maurizio Sarri, who was in Tuscany last season.
“Tomorrow will be the key day,” Mario Giuffredi told Radio Crc.
“Napoli and Empoli will meet, but I haven’t heard from any of the directors. On Thursday morning Mirko could sign for Napoli, or go to another team.

“By Friday we’ll close the deal, it’s also in Empoli’s interests to close it quickly.
“I’m not optimistic. The deal was done before, but now too much time has passed. Everything is more difficult now, but maybe Empoli will give him to Napoli.”
