Stepping off his flight today with the rest of the team, Cherchesov revealed that he already had a tactical sense of what his rivals could offer.

“I haven't seen [last Sunday's] Napoli-Inter, but I'm sure, among other things, that Napoli's line-up will change,” he considered to reporters.

“I thought about some of Napoli's weaknesses, but I won't tell you about them.

“I don't intend to cage any of my opponents with man-marking, and we're not afraid of any Azzurri player.

“It's going to be a game between two teams that are strong and important. We aren't here to take part, we're here to win.

“We're hoping to score at least one goal since this is an away game.

“But we mustn't lose ourselves in calculation. The only thing we should be thinking of is playing well.

“We're used to playing many matches. We've got the legs for it and we're looking forward to tomorrow.

“I've been to San Paolo twice and the changing rooms are the same. But that was a different age, when [Diego Armando] Maradona was here. Now it's a different brand of football.”
