Not many neutrals would have had Scotland leading the group at this stage and these Norway vs. Spain predictions could be for a pivotal match in deciding which nation progresses to Euro 2024 in Germany next year.

Norway vs. Spain odds

1 – Norway to win – 16/5

2 – Under 2.5 total goals – 4/5

3 – Both teams not to score – 5/6

4 – Martin Ødegaard to score at any time – 5/1

5 – Norway to win 1-0 – 10/1

Scotland shook things up in Group A back in March when they beat Spain 2-0 at Hampden Park. With Steve Clarke’s side continuing to do well, this game takes on a higher level of importance than originally predicted.

Norway will know that they will need to get a result in Oslo if they are to take one of the automatic qualifying spots after Spain won the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign. A close match on Sunday is now on the cards.

But Norway will be buoyed by the home fans and will be looking for star players like Erling Haaland and Martin Ødegaard to lead Ståle Solbakken’s side to victory. It could be the Arsenal captain who continues his good form this season and grabs the winner here.

Spain will come into this one in confident mood though. Since losing to Scotland early on, Luis de la Fuente’s side have piled on the goals against the weaker nations in the group and will believe that they can come away from Norway with at least a point.

La Roja also have a game in hand on their hosts. So, as long as they can keep Norway from claiming the three points here, they should be in control of their own destiny when it comes to qualifying for Euro 2024.

But the pressure is now on and Norway will be desperate to beat Spain for the first time since 2000. It has been over 20 years since the Scandinavians made it to a major international tournament and a win here could really help.

Norway team news

Ståle Solbakken will be hoping that his players come through the game against Cyprus without injury, so that he can put out his best possible starting XI for this important match. He will be looking at his EPL players to lead the way to victory.

Spain team news

Luis de la Fuente will also be checking on his players’ fitness after their game against Scotland. But he should still be able to put out an impressive starting line-up. Ferran Torres and Mikel Oyarzabal may make up the front three in the absence of Yamine Lamal and Iñaki Williams.
