North Macedonia have named their squad for the 2022 World Cup play-off against Italy in Palermo on March 24.

This is the semi-final, the winners will go on to face either Portugal or Turkey for a spot at the tournament in Qatar.

Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas is the only current Serie A player in the side, as veteran Goran Pandev retired from international duty after UEFA EURO 2020.

He is still playing in Serie B with Parma, though.

Other familiar faces include ex-Parma and Bari defender Stefan Ristovski and former Palermo striker Alexander Trajkovski.

  1. First no disrespect to the north Macedonia players but if you really can’t beat this team they don’t deserve to go to the World Cup even though it’s going to kill me , quite literally . Everybody keeps downplaying the fact that we went 37 games in a row without a loss that’s a world record imagine that 37 were still on top we had a minor let down everybody’s jumping ship already we’re gonna win this game and we’re gonna be Portugal and we’re going to the World Cup !!!! Viva Italia
