Gianluigi Buffon insists it’s ‘normal’ that Barcelona are favourites for the Champions League final, but Juventus are not 'lambs to the slaughter’.

The Bianconeri will face off against the Catalan giants in Berlin tomorrow night, a stadium Buffon knows very well, having won the World Cup in the Olympiastadion in 2006.

“I think, in the end, neither of us are playing at home,” Buffon reminded journalists in the pre-match Press conference.

“I think, in the end, neither of us are playing at home,” Buffon reminded journalists in the pre-match Press conference.

“With our knowledge and affinity with our stadium [Juventus Stadium], we’re more refined. In a one-off match like tomorrow’s final, certain qualities emerge.

“As I said a week ago, they’re deservedly considered favourites, as they have great individual qualities.

“Indeed, a team with [Lionel] Messi, Neymar and [Luis] Suarez, as well as [Andres] Iniesta behind, can never not be favourites, that’s normal with these players.

“But when you have a team like Juve, with players as good as [Carlos] Tevez, [Leonardo] Bonucci, [Claudio] Marchisio, [Andrea] Pirlo and [Paul Pogba], I think this team aren’t necessarily lambs to the slaughter.”
