Antonio Nocerino will be out for at least a week after tests, but Taye Taiwo’s agent insists he’s staying with Milan.

Midfielder Nocerino limped off during the Champions League 2-2 draw with Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday and tests have now confirmed the left thigh twinge will keep him on the sidelines for at least seven days, when he will undergo further medical examinations.

On the other hand, Kevin-Prince Boateng has recovered from a back problem to face Bologna on Sunday.

It was reported Taiwo would leave Milan in January after failing to settle in his first six months of Serie A football, as the likes of Newcastle United are interested.

“We are not 100 per cent satisfied, but that doesn’t mean the player is not ready to fight for his place,” agent Fabio Parisi told MilanNews.

“I think he has had some difficulties settling in, especially when it comes to understanding the movement the Coach is asking for.

“However, Taiwo never gives in and therefore does not want to leave Milan. We’ve got to evaluate the situation and he has many admirers, but the idea is to stay with the Rossoneri.”
