Antonio Nocerino ‘takes full responsibility’ for his struggles at Milan and asserts he does not need to take a leading role at Torino.
The midfielder was presented to the media this week having agreed to join the Turin outfit from the Rossoneri on an initial season-long loan deal.
Nocerino has enjoyed a strong start to his San Siro career, but struggled after to replicate form and play as much first-team football, ending last season out on loan at West Ham.

The midfielder was presented to the media this week having agreed to join the Turin outfit from the Rossoneri on an initial season-long loan deal.
Nocerino has enjoyed a strong start to his San Siro career, but struggled after to replicate form and play as much first-team football, ending last season out on loan at West Ham.
“Many situations didn’t work out at Milan,” the 29-year-old has reflected to reporters on the decline.
“I sometimes struggled to understand that for one year playing at a high level, goals aside, that the following season I could suddenly have become so scarce.
“But certainly it will be all my fault and I take full responsibility. Now, however, I would like to stop talking about Milan and concentrate on Torino.
“I wanted to come to Torino at all costs, because I know the staff and others on a personal level and I wanted to be in contention to play, and then Torino seemed the perfect solution for my needs. I chose Toro because I wanted to come here, everything else has nothing to do with it.
“Any regrets? No, I have no regrets or hard feelings, I just want to return to having fun and doing well, which for over a year-and-a-half I have missed.
“I do not want to prove anything to anybody or remove any pebbles from my shoe. I’m just here for me, the club, the team and the Coach.”
Nocerino was asked if he felt a burden to take a leading role at Torino for his previous experience, particularly in view of the club’s return to European football this season.
“Not really. I think this team is an exceptional group, solid and that for three years have been doing amazing things, so us new arrivals have to insert into the group in the best way possible.
“Some more than others, but certainly as far as I am concerned, I am at the disposal of everyone and with all my qualities and my experience and will always try to help out the others.
“But, as I said, we have to insert ourselves into an already establish group, and it is not for us to drag those who have been here for a long time already.”
