Udinese insist Silvan Widmer won’t be going to Inter, but are “happy to talk” if Juventus ask for Roberto Pereyra.

Director of sport Cristiano Giaretta spoke to calciomercato.com about some of the rumours doing the rounds.

There have been strong reports in the papers this morning that Inter are prepared to offer Alfred Duncan to Udinese in exchange for Widmer.

“No, it’s absolutely not true. In fact, I can entirely deny the existence of any negotiations with Inter,” said Giaretta.

“I can safely say Widmer is not a player who is going to leave Udine this summer.”

The situation is different for attacking wide man Pereyra, who would allow Antonio Conte to adopt a 4-3-3 system in future.

“Can Pereyra leave? This remains to be seen. If there was an official request from Juventus, then we’d be happy to sit down and talk about Pereyra.

“We are talking about an important club and Pereyra is now ready for the big step up in his career. If Juve make this attempt to sign him, then we’ll take it into consideration.”
