Juventus have announced Federico Chiesa has not suffered a serious injury but will not be called up for the trip to Napoli this weekend.

The Bianconeri winger carried out new tests at Continassa this morning which excluded injuries, but the Italy international will not travel to Naples.

Juventus to cope without five key players against Napoli?

Federico Chiesa will, according to Sky Sport Italia, not be at coach Massimiliano Allegri’s disposal for the match scheduled for Saturday at the Stadio Diego Maradona.

The exams the player underwent at the J|Medical excluded any muscle injuries, but Chiesa will not be risked against the Partenopei but should be back against Malmö FF in the Champions League.

“Federico Chiesa underwent a negative scan at the J|Medical this morning,” the club wrote in a statement. “However, as a precaution and in agreement with the technical staff, he will not be available for the trip to Naples.”

Without Chiesa in the squad, Allegri is reportedly evaluating the possibilities of changing to a 4-4-2 formation with Moise Kean ready for his comeback in the Bianconeri shirt.

Dejan Kulusevski could thus find space at right, in the absence of the former Fiorentina man.
