Roma President James Pallotta reiterates that Coach Rudi Garcia will stay, hints at new signings and believes his team will challenge for the title next season.

Pallotta held an open Press conference on Tuesday morning in order ‘to have an open forum’, and discussed major issues including the futures of Garcia and midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

“Me and Rudi Garcia are pretty much on exactly the same page on everything. We are doing the things that he wants us to do.

“We have no issues with Garcia. I have never spoken to another club or coach about coming in here. I'm very happy with Rudi.

“We don't have power struggles. That's not how we operate. You really need to understand that we are all together.

“We’re doing everything to keep Radja. He wants to stay. We want him to stay. We're working on it.

“We can't tell the world what we are going to do but we all know we have three or four positions we need to strengthen. We'll see a few players leaving and possibly 4 or 5 new players arriving.

“Will we upset some fans? Possibly, if we sell their favourite player but we’re going to do what we think is best for the team."

The Giallorossi President insists he was pleased with Juventus’ Champions League success and believes that Roma will soon be challenging them.

Fans may not be happy but I was pleased to see Juve in the Champions League final as it reflects well on Italian football.

"It helps the world and European football look better on Italian football and clubs like Roma as well.

"I don’t think we’re that far away from Juventus. I think we can compete and we can win.

“It has to be said that Juve do have more turnover than us but when we have the new stadium, we’ll have substantially more."

"I think next season we’ll compete for the Scudetto. We're making some changes & I think the squad will be in best shape ever."
