Paris Saint-Germain's Gregory van der Wiel will not be joining Roma, as Fenerbahce have officially signed him.
The 28-year-old full-back was one of a number of players that the Giallorossi had targeted in their efforts to rebuild their defence this summer.
The Dutchman was particularly desirable as he could have joined as a free agent, but an official statement that appeared on Fenerbahce's site today ended the dreams of Roma's supporters.
