Juventus have no intention of losing Manuel Locatelli in the coming months and are working on a new deal for the midfielder.

The 25-year-old Italian has featured consistently under Massimiliano Allegri since his arrival in Turin in August 2021, despite the suggestion from the Bianconeri coach that he could be the ‘first backup’.

Locatelli has continued to grow into an important figure for the Old Lady and a number of clubs around Europe are keeping a close eye on the former Sassuolo man.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Juventus will soon permanently sign Locatelli, who is still in Turin on a two-year loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause, and after this they’ll begin negotiating a new contract with the midfielder.

Juventus are looking to tie the 25-year-old to the club until June 2026, paying him around €3m net per season including add-ons.

The Old Lady are aware of the interest in their player, including rumblings from the Premier League, but they have no intention of selling Locatelli any time soon.
