Monaco announced Manchester United “have not yet decided” whether to take up their option on Juventus target Radamel Falcao.

The Colombian striker joined on loan and has scored only four Premier League goals, so a departure would seem likely.

“I saw the Manchester United people last Sunday and they have not yet decided if they would exercise the option,” Monaco Vice-President Vadim Vasilyev told Nice-Matin newspaper.

“It’s not his best season, but they kept the opportunity to make a decision at the end of the season.”

Manchester United have the option to sign the 29-year-old for £43.5m.

Juve are eager to take Falcao on another loan with option to buy deal if he is handed back to Monaco this summer.

“We are not in any other negotiations, even if big clubs are interested,” added Vasilyev.

“The decision is with Manchester, then we will discuss with the player what he wants.”

Juventus play Monaco in the Champions League quarter-final tomorrow night and it will be another opportunity to ask after Falcao.
