Miralem Pjanic says he has no immediate desire to leave Roma for Edin Dzeko’s Manchester City side.

It is understood that Dzeko has talked highly about his Bosnian international teammate to City officials, but the midfielder is content in the Italian capital.

“It is nice to hear that Edin has spoken well of me, but I have a contract here,” the former Lyon man commented to Mediaset.

“Perhaps one day we’ll get the opportunity to play in the same club side, but, for now, I’m proud to be able to wear this shirt.”

The 23-year-old was in action on Monday night and he won the penalty which allowed Roma to grab a 1-1 draw against Lazio.

“I’m not that happy with how I played,” he admitted. “I lost a few balls that I normally wouldn’t have. I’ve had a few fitness issues which have hampered my training.

“The draw? We could have won the game. You saw that we wanted victory after we equalised. We were better organised in the second half and had our chances.”
