Parma’s players have still not decided whether or not they will play this Sunday’s game at Genoa, Zouhair Feddal reveals.

Last Sunday’s game at home to Udinese was postponed as the Ducali are unable to afford stewarding costs, and it has been revealed this week that the players will have to drive themselves to Genoa.

However, the players have not committed to playing the fixture, insisting that they want to ensure the future of the club and the wages of staff, rather than just making it to the end of the season.

“It’s a complicated situation for everyone,” Feddal admitted in an interview with SportItalia.

“However, we’re going out on the pitch and training hard. The Genoa match? We haven’t decided yet.

“Thank goodness I went [on loan] to Palermo, I’m very sorry for the guys who haven’t had a Euro since July.”

The Moroccan also discussed the financial situation at the club, and says the players have not heard from President Giampietro Manenti.

“We were to meet with Manenti, but he hasn’t reassured us, he hasn’t even phoned our captain [Cristiano] Lucarelli.

“He introduced himself to us and made big promises. Of course, we’ve paid for putting this trust in Manenti, but it’s not just his fault.

“If Manenti doesn’t have the money to come here and say these things to these lads, then he should leave the door open for a new buyer.

“[Former President Tommaso] Ghirardi? I never had any dealings with him, as for [Pietro] Leonardi, I only spoke to him when I signed my contract.

“Today this has happened to Parma, but in a couple of years it could happen to any team.”
