Cristiano Ronaldo expects to see a reaction from Manchester United against Atalanta: ‘The Champions League is the perfect competition to prove ourselves to the world.’

The Premier League giants lost their last Premier League match against Leicester City 4-2, while Atalanta beat Empoli 4-1 at the Stadio Castellani.
Ronaldo took to his official Instagram account to send a message to his teammates ahead of Wednesday’s match against La Dea.
“Our time is coming! We have to show what we are made of and the Champions League is the perfect competition to prove ourselves to the world. No excuses! Let’s go,” the former Juventus star wrote.
The Portuguese star scored three goals in six appearances against La Dea during his time in Turin.
“He is an extraordinary player, his numbers speak from themselves,” Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini said at a pre-match press conference today.
Manchester United have collected three points in two games, while Atalanta travel to Old Trafford as the Group F leaders with four points.
The Serie A side host Manchester United at the Gewiss Stadium in the reverse fixture on November 2.
