The 20-year-old has had a spectacular campaign for the Championship side, scoring 20 goals in 36 appearances.

But his representative has admitted that plans have not been put in place yet for a return to the Zebrette.

“The situation has not changed,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb. “Watford have five games left to play and he is focused on those until the end of the season.

“In the summer, when it is clear whether Watford will play in the Championship or the Premier League, we will make an assessment.

“We have had continuous talks with [Watford and Udinese owner] Gino Pozzo. At the end of the season I will be in Udine to plan for the future.

“There is no reason to force the issue yet – the market opens in the summer.”
