Milan announce that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is recovering well from a calf injury and will undergo more tests in around 10 days’ time.

The forward had flown back home to Sweden after the injury in training, but returned this week and had the examination today.

A statement from the club confirmed the tests showed “no complications” with regards to the strain of the right soleus muscle.

The recovery process is going well and he will have further tests in around 10 days’ time.

Ibrahimovic was going to miss the Coppa Italia semi-final with Juventus anyway next week due to suspension.

However, if the Rossoneri were to reach the Final on June 17, he would be eligible for that big match.

“AC Milan announces that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has undergone a check-up following the injury to his right soleus muscle,” read the statement.

“His recovery is proceeding well, without complications and a new check-up is to be expected in about ten days.”
