As things stand, the plan is to resume Serie A fixtures from June 13 or 20, using the new medical protocol that has been drawn up this week and still needs approval.
There is now the issue of Plan B, namely what happens if the coronavirus pandemic flares up again in Italy and the 2019-20 season cannot be concluded regularly.
According to La Repubblica and Il Giornale newspapers, the only option being presented to the meeting is for play-offs and relegation play-outs.
This is far from popular with everyone, as several clubs have already spoken up against it, including Lecce and Torino, but there currently doesn’t seem to be any alternative considered.
