Memphis Depay is close to finalising his Barcelona exit but Juventus still need to find an agreement after the Dutchman raised his demands, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The Blaugrana are working to cut the 28-year-old forward from their squad after only a year due to financial issues, allowing the player to join a new club on a free transfer. Juventus have been keen to pick up Depay for a little while now, making him their primary target after it became clear that Alvaro Morata would not be returning to Turin.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus still haven’t agreed personal terms with Depay yet as the Dutchman has raised his demands to the club. Recent media reports suggested that the 28-year-old was initially happy with a two-year deal worth €6m net per season, but now this doesn’t seem to be convincing enough.

Depay is expected to finalise his Barcelona departure at some point in the coming days and talks are still ongoing with Juventus, who are hoping his demands drop again.

7 thought on “No agreement still between Juventus and Depay – the latest”
  1. Maybe the 7/9 are figuring how to give him £10M per annum and extending it to a 5 yr deal. Nothing would be a surprising for a club that has forfeited planning since Don Beppe left.

  2. Depay is a good fit for this attack. Belotti is more like a central striker. We need to get one more midfielder and one more attacker before the market closes. I thought they would get these players in this week, but its very disappointing that we go to Genoa with limited options in attack. Kean has lot of potential, but he is not too serious about his career.

  3. Ronaldo said 95 out of 100 news about him are lies. I think generally in the world of football are lies nowadays a common thing [to sell their articles].

Its a shame there are absolutely no ethics in football media.

People lose trust i you. Think about it. But the pressure is high I guess. People want to read this kind of things permanently cause 5 minutes of doibg nothing the modern human brain get crazy…

  4. This Lord Allegri dude talking about forfeiting planning when the owners of his team (Inter) are actively trying to sell half the first team and forfeiting the teams future. Amazing
