Nigeria have fined Lazio midfielder Ogenyi ‘Eddy’ Onazi after his “unprofessional” red card against Chad.
The player was sent off for lashing out an elbow and received a two-match ban.
The Nigerian Football Federation also penalised him with a $5,000 fine (around €4,500).
“Onazi’s behaviour during Nigeria-Chad was unprofessional and violated our code of ethics,” said NFF President Tunde Aderibigbe.
