M’Baye Niang returned to Milan training today, so could be fit for their final two games of the season.

The Rossoneri face Roma on Sunday in the final Serie A fixture, before taking on Juventus in the Coppa Italia final on May 21.

With the club chasing Europa League football, they are two must-win games, as Sassuolo are currently in the sixth and final European spot.

The Diavolo will qualify for the Europa League instead of the Neroverdi if they win the Coppa, but if they are defeated then sixth-place will enter the preliminary rounds.

Milan’s official website today announced that Niang, Ignazio Abate and Giacomo Bonaventura “started the session with the rest of the squad”, with Bonaventura and Niang also taking part in passing drills with their teammates.

Niang has eight goals and four assists in all competitions this season, but has been out with an ankle injury which he sustained in a car crash.
