Argentine side Newell’s Old Boys have sued Roma over an unpaid €2.5m for striker Ezequiel Ponce.
FIFA has banned Newell’s from registering new players for the next three transfer windows.
However, the club has appealed the punishment, claiming it is still owed money from several sales.
Among them is Ponce’s move to Roma in the summer of 2015, when the Giallorossi committed to paying €4.2m for the 23-year-old.

Among them is Ponce’s move to Roma in the summer of 2015, when the Giallorossi committed to paying €4.2m for the 23-year-old.
He never made a senior appearance at the Olimpico, instead going out on loan to Granada, Lille and AEK Athens.
The attacker subsequently joined Russian outfit Spartak Moscow for €8m last summer.
Newell’s were entitled to €3.2m of that fee but argue Roma still owe them €2.5m.
