The Spaniard had already been tempted by offers from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, but Napoli refused to budge.
According to The Sun newspaper, former Napoli boss Rafa Benitez has his heart set on a reunion with Reina, who he also worked with at Liverpool.

Reina’s contract with Napoli is due to expire at the end of this season, but it’s extremely unlikely they’ll let him go in the January transfer window.
Even the prospect of €12m won’t be enough to change Coach Maurizio Sarri’s mind.
At the same time, the veteran Spaniard realises this is Napoli’s best chance in many years to win the Scudetto and won’t be happy to interrupt that adventure.
