Newcastle United are now the favourites to sign Roma striker Seydou Doumbia after Fenerbahce talks broke down.
The Ivory Coast international spent the last six months on loan at CSKA Moscow and is not part of new Coach Luciano Spalletti’s plans.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Newcastle are now in advanced negotiations for Doumbia.
The powerful centre-forward is particularly eager to join the Premier League and so talks could progress quickly.
