MLS side New York City FC will reportedly finalise a deal for Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo by the end of the week.
The 36-year-old has been seen in New York this week, including at the Yankee Stadium, and it was reported yesterday that he could join the American side in February.
However, the New York Times believes that negotiations between the club and player are almost finished and that the Italy international will join at the end of the week.

Although Pirlo’s contract doesn’t expire until 2016, the playmaker is believed to be interested in an MLS switch and could join the likes of David Villa and Frank Lampard in the NYCFC ranks.
