New target emerges as Inter continue search for new striker

Inter are on the lookout for a new striker and Il Corriere dello Sport reports the Nerazzurri have set their sights on Reims’ Hugo Ekitike.

The defending Serie A champions will sign at least one new forward in the summer. They will listen to offers for Alexis Sanchez and may need to sell Lautaro Martinez to balance the books.

As per Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter are monitoring Reims’ striker Ekitike. The 19-year-old has scored 10 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions this season, but his club is unwilling to sell for less than €40m. The Nerazzurri are reportedly in talks with the striker’s entourage but have many other targets for 2022-23.

They are in talks with Juventus striker Paulo Dybala who would join the Nerazzurri on a free transfer given that his contract runs out in the summer.

Atalanta‘s Duvan Zapata is also seen as a potential new signing and so is Sassuolo‘s Gianluca Scamacca. Last but not least, Romelu Lukaku could return to the club, but only if Chelsea agree to loan him out and if the Belgian striker takes a €50% pay cut.
