The unpredictability of this Serie A season is made evident by an extraordinary record, as there have been six different leaders in the opening six rounds.

The Italian league has been easily the most wide open in recent years among the top five European divisions, with four different clubs winning the title in the last five campaigns.

However, that is going into overdrive during the 2024-25 season, setting a new all-time record.

For the first time ever, there have been six different leaders in the opening six rounds of the Serie A season.

Including goal difference to separate teams level on points, the top spot has gone to Atalanta, Juventus, Inter, Udinese, Torino and Napoli.

Antonio Conte and the 2-0 victory over Monza has taken Napoli to the sole leadership of Serie A for the first time in 18 months, since Luciano Spalletti won the Scudetto in May 2023.

They are now clear with 13 points, followed by Juventus on 12, Milan, Inter and Torino 11, then Empoli, Lazio and Udinese on 10.

Week 6 concludes on Monday evening with Parma vs. Cagliari.
