Juventus and West Ham will have a new round of talks today to discuss Denis Zakaria’s transfer, reports Gazzetta.

The Swiss international has returned from a one-year loan at Chelsea, but he’s not in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans for 2023-24, so Juventus are looking for a new club for the ex-Gladbach midfielder.

West Ham are among the clubs leading the race for his signature and according to Wednesday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 9), there will be a new round of talks between directors of the two clubs today.

Juventus’ asking price for Zakaria is circa €20m.

The Old Lady will soon appoint Cristiano Giuntoli as their new sporting director. The 51-year-old arrived in Turin on Tuesday to visit the club’s training centre and headquarters.

Zakaria, 26, scored one goal in 15 games with Juventus. He only made eight appearances at Chelsea in 2022-23, scoring one goal. His contract at the Allianz Stadium expires in June 2026.
