The new self-produced 2021-22 Napoli first kit has finally arrived and an image was leaked on social media.

The Partenopei decided to be revolutionary this season when their contract with Kappa was allowed to expire.

It had been reported they would sign with Armani to design them, and it does have the EA7 logo of Emporio Armani.

Other than that, it is very similar to last season’s jersey and will be worn in this weekend’s Serie A opener against Venezia.

There seems to be a very dark blue or even black trim on the neckline, shoulders and arms.

“We have many followers in America, but nobody was buying our jerseys, so I said to myself, then we’ll do without a kit sponsor,” said President Aurelio De Laurentiis during a press conference in June.

“My advisors all said: you’re crazy, no! Adidas, Puma and Nike take 18 months to get a shirt done, and you want to find someone who in so little time will design and manufacture them?

“And yet, I replied: **** ‘em. I spent all day yesterday in a factory working on this. I was on the phone with China today to talk about it.

“This idea might cost me money, but I am starting a new reality for football.”
