Charles De Ketelaere is expected to drop further down Milan‘s pecking order following Stefano Pioli’s recent tactical changes, notes Gazzetta.

The Belgian starlet has failed to justify his €32m price tag this season with just one assist in 24 appearances for the Rossoneri.

CDK has only started two games in 2023 and his playing time at San Siro could be further reduced following Pioli’s recent tactical changes.

The Italian tactician will use a three-man defence for the next few games, starting from Friday’s Serie A clash with Torino at San Siro.

Whether Pioli uses a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-3 formation, De Ketelaere is not expected to start. The Belgian was signed from Club Brugge last summer to play as an attacking midfielder but has lost his starting spot to Brahim Diaz.

According to Gazzetta, the Spaniard could play as a right winger against Torino tomorrow, with CDK once again relegated to the bench, bringing further doubts on his future at the club.

De Ketelaere’s contract at the Stadio Meazzaexpires in June 2027.
