Inter are still pushing to build their new stadium, where they’d be able to bring in millions in revenue by selling the naming rights.

New Nerazzurri owners Oaktree are fundamentally aware of the importance of leaving San Siro to build their own modern stadium in the near future, a feeling shared by Milan and their owners RedBird, and have continued slowly working on the project.

Only a handful of clubs in Italy own their stadiums, including Juventus with their Allianz Stadium and Atalanta with their Gewiss Stadium. State-owned stadiums heavily restrict clubs’ flexibility with renovations and increasing revenue streams, causing much frustration for fans.

Inter could sell naming rights

Page six of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how a study by financial experts Kroll suggested that Inter could earn up to €9-10m net per year from selling the naming rights of their new stadium.

In comparison, Juventus earn around €12m from their partnership Allianz and Barcelona bring in €20m in revenue from Spotify. Real Madrid could earn up to €30m per year from selling the naming rights of the Santiago Bernabeu.
