Palermo have appointed Fabio Lupo as their new sporting director and Bruno Tedino as Coach.

The Rosanero were relegated from Serie A this season, ending the campaign in crisis with no sporting director and confusion over the ownership situation.

However, with Maurizio Zamparini’s sale to Paul Baccaglini agreed to go through before the end of the month, the Sicilian club have finally started preparing for life in the second tier.

“U.S Citta di Palermo announces the signing of sporting director Fabio Lupo and first team Coach Bruno Tedino,” a statement on the Rosanero’s official website announced.

“Fabio Lupo, born in 1964, having played for Bari, Ancona and Avellino served as sporting director for Ascoli, Manfredonia and at Torino.

“He was also the technical director for the Sampdoria youth sector, and a director at Juve Stabia and Teramo.

“Bruno Tedino, born in 1964, after a short career as a footballer started his career as a Coach in the late 80s, training the youth teams of Treviso, Conegliano and Venezia.

“He subsequently had experience with the first team of Novara, Pistoiese, Sudtirol and Sangiovannese, before serving as CT for the Italian Under-16 and Under-17 teams.

“This season he led Pordenone to the Lega Pro play-off semi-finals.”
