The representative of Christian Abbiati is hopeful that his client will be offered a new contract by Milan.

The goalkeeper is only tied to the Diavolo until June and it is unclear whether the San Siro giants will hand him a 12-month extension.

However, in an interview with Sport Italia, Claudio Vigorelli says he would not be surprised to see the ‘keeper put pen to paper.

However, in an interview with Sport Italia, Claudio Vigorelli says he would not be surprised to see the ‘keeper put pen to paper.

“Christian is very tied to the Rossoneri colours and the club are very tied to him,” the agent commented.

“Therefore I do believe that there are the conditions in place for the renewal of his contract.”

Abbiati, now 35, joined the Diavolo in 1998 from Monza. He’s been with the club ever since – although he has spent time on loan with Juventus, Torino and Atletico Madrid.
