Udinese striker Ilija Nestorovski has been sent home from the Macedonia national team after a controversial goal celebration against Lichtenstein.
Nestorovski scored from the spot in Macedonia’s 5-0 win over Lichtenstein on Monday, but he celebrated by screaming insults into a camera on the sidelines.
The former Palermo striker explained on Instagram he was referring to people who had threatened his family in the previous days.

However, Macedonia coach Igor Angelovski opted to send him home despite the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Germany.
“I am happy he apologised and explained the reason for his action,” the coach claimed.
“However, this is an unacceptable behaviour for a national team player."
