However, reports from the Milanello training ground this afternoon suggest Nesta has failed a fitness test and might not even be able to stay on the bench.
This means Philippe Mexes steps in to the centre-back slot.
Milan are already missing Kevin-Prince Boateng, Clarence Seedorf, Alberto Aquilani, Mario Yepes, Antonio Cassano, Gennaro Gattuso, Alexander Merkel, Rodney Strasser and the suspended Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
