Alessandro Nesta examined the difficulties at Inter and Juventus and suggested that Matthijs de Ligt should focus on football at Bayern Munich rather than making ‘certain statements’.

Both the Nerazzurri and Bianconeri have suffered disappointing starts to the season, sitting 7th and 8th in the Serie A table after seven games respectively. Both sides have not hit their usual heights and fans of both teams are starting to grow impatient, making the next six weeks for both Simone Inzaghi and Massimiliano Allegri.

Speaking to Corriere della Sera, Nesta first looked to understand why Inter have started the season in such a poor fashion.

“From the outside, Inter seem to me to be in difficulty even physically. Are they affected by the club’s difficulties? If so, they mustn’t be.

“It’s up to the players, the coach, the management to make a team and overcome crises. But it needs to be done quickly.”

The former Lazio captain then gave his thoughts on Juventus’ tough situation. The Old Lady have only secured two wins in their opening seven matches.

“It’s not all Allegri’s fault. There’s a more general confusion, for years they’ve taken one step forward and two steps back, there’s no precise line, even on the market. There’s no clarity.”

Finally, Nesta suggested that De Ligt should focus on football in Germany now rather than opening up about his time in Turin.

“I wouldn’t have made certain statements. They paid €70m for you, they wanted you at all costs, you were injured for so long. Going to Bayern? Just go there.”

  1. True. You cannot blame PhD Max. The Flinstone playboy was put in thanks to the borderline illiterates above him. You have to feel for the creator of 1600 BC calcio scripture. He is being dumped on by his former flames and follicly challenged. But Sun Tzu Max’s teachings will long with the 7/9. I am sure they are going to renew his contract and watch out Roberto King Carlos Sandro could be his understudy.

  2. Confusion ? Not at all.. it’s very clear, no one wants allegri .. he’s being protected by a ridiculous 4 yr contract that no coach deserves
