Alessandro Nesta forecasts a 'modest draw' between his two former teams Lazio and Milan in today's big clash.
The former defender became an icon for the Biancocelesti and the Rossoneri before closing his career and leaving to Coach Miami FC in Major League Soccer.
“Neither of the two teams is in peak condition right now, even though they're recovering,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I expect a balanced game, a modest draw.
“I'm a fan of Lazio since I was a child, but then I split my heart with Milan, because I spent ten extraordinary years there, as a footballer and as a man.”
Nesta was then asked which player from either team he'd like to have in Miami.
“I'd take [Alessio] Romagnoli from Milan, if only for his age, and [Riccardo] Montolivo. From Lazio [Lucas] Biglia and [Stefan] De Vrij, who is incredibly strong.
“Milan haven't been playing well for three or four years now. And every season they grill the Coach, they fire him and the problems remain. If they dismissed [Sinisa] Mihajlovic too, it would be a huge mistake.
“Lazio? A few players changed, but the team is still the same, as is the excellent Coach. Last season was fantastic, they did much better than expected.
“President Claudio Lotito? I never met him. Many can't stand him in spite of his work because the supporters are very demanding. They expect two or three signings that will let the team become first class.”
