Future Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti is ‘the best’ and a ‘role model’ for Miami FC head coach Alessandro Nesta.
The former Lazio and Milan defender is beginning his coaching career with the newly formed NASL club this season and looks to his former mentor for inspiration.
“Role models? For me Ancelotti is like a father, he’s the best,” Nesta told Corriere dello Sport.
“I worked with him for eight years, the way he manages the group, the tactics, everything. I need to call him for more advice.

“I worked with him for eight years, the way he manages the group, the tactics, everything. I need to call him for more advice.
“Every time he arrives at a new team he wins something, I’m sure that he’ll do great work at Bayern as well.
“Everyone has their ideas at the start, then I think that the team verifies that for you or you can make changes: you must find the way to enhance the characteristics of the individuals and you must have the humility to accept and understand that eventually there could be alterations to what you had set out with at the start.
“We’ll play in a 4-3-1-2, with a trequartista, but I’m not talking about a fixed module, we’ll see. Depending on the opponent’s game you can adapt. Sometimes I lose patience, I get angry when I see strange things.
“Me as Italy CT? Now I’m here in Miami, I’ll learn and then we can see how it goes. I could continue in the USA, we’ll see what happens. We’re just at the start.”
