The tournament begins in the Czech Republic on Wednesday and the Azzurrini are in Group D with Sweden, England and Portugal.
“Italy have a very good team and are among the favourites,” Juventus director Nedved said in a Press conference.
“I know them very well and they can win this. It’s also a great opportunity for these players to show what they can do and challenge for a place at Euro 2016 with the senior squad.”
In the other group, the Czech Republic face Germany, Serbia and Denmark.
“In order to succeed, the Czech Republic must play at its top level, maybe even something more. They have to fight and play as they have never done before.
“Despite being the hosts, they are not among the favourites. Just getting through the group would be a great success.”
